About the Job:

This Senior Renewable Energy Sales Professional role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing high-margin solar project opportunities in California. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales, networking, and building relationships with business owners across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue by identifying and securing high-margin solar project opportunities.
  • Implement a proven business development process for commercial projects, focusing on strategic industry segments and geographic markets.
  • Independently generate leads through cold calling, networking, and site visits.
  • Effectively communicate project plans and challenges to clients.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering team to create comprehensive proposals.
  • Present proposals to customers and assist in selecting the best solution.
  • Prepare project bid documents, including internal review documentation, project budget, and customer pricing.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering team to ensure project designs meet requirements and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Provide on-site support for client interfacing as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong background in sales, networking, and building relationships with business owners across various industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales and marketing roles, ideally in medium-scale commercial solar projects.
  • Ability to create and present customer proposals effectively.
  • Understanding of commercial solar PV system design and proposal development.
  • Knowledge of solar incentives, regulations, financing, and energy cost structures.
  • Proficiency in solar proposal software (e.g., Helioscope and Energy Tool Base) and Microsoft Excel.

Estimated Salary Range:$105,000 - $135,000 plus commission
