Job Summary

The Patient Safety Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of high-risk patients. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the patient care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous observation and monitoring of high-risk patients to prevent falls and accidental or intentional self-harm.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure a safe and risk-free patient environment.
  • Assist with basic activities of daily living and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Document patient status and activity during the shift, ensuring accurate and clear communication with the healthcare team.
  • Perform other duties as needed, including transporting patients, delivering equipment and supplies, and assisting with tasks such as answering phones and greeting visitors.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 14 days of employment start date.
  • 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
