Lead Monitor Technician

As a Lead Monitor Tech, you will play a vital role in our team, leading the operations of the TeleTech Station and supervising personnel assigned to the station.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the operations of the TeleTech Station, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient patient care.
- Supervise personnel, delegating assignments, organizing workflow, orienting new staff, training job functions, and resolving problems.
- Provide continuous cardiac monitor observation and rhythm strip documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and well-being, identifying and reporting potential safety hazards.
- Participate in in-service educational programs for staff, promoting knowledge and skills development.
- Perform data entry via computer keyboard and mouse, utilizing medical terminology to determine procedure types.
- Troubleshoot problems and stay abreast of new protocols, communicating concerns to the nurse manager.
- Participate in the employee evaluation program, completing initial 90-day evaluations on all employees.
- Maintain all equipment and supplies for the scheduling office, inventorying and ordering supplies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to six months of on-the-job experience in cardiac monitoring and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac rhythms.
- 85% score on Basic Arrhythmia test and competency on skills checklist.
- CPR certification and ACLS certification preferred.
- 6-12 months of leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
