Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Host/Hostess to join our team at The Henry. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Manage the host stand, controlling the pace of the door and communicating with managers to maintain a smooth flow of guests.
  • Be knowledgeable about the menu and make genuine recommendations to guests.
  • Keep the host stand clean and organized, presenting a positive first impression for our guests.
  • Work effectively in a high-volume environment, responding to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise.
  • Understand POS systems and OpenTable (or other digital/online reservation systems).
  • Be available to work weekends and some holidays, as well as fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of upscale host experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to stand for long periods, and capacity to lift up to 25 pounds.
