Warehouse Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our high-volume mail order pharmacy team.
About the Role:
This position will play a vital role in fulfilling patient prescriptions in an accurate, timely manner. As a closed-door pharmacy, our focus is on delivering exceptional service with minimal patient interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to fill individual prescription orders manually or using a semi-automated device.
- Cassette filling of semi-automated dispensing devices.
- Bubble packing medications for safe transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to quality control standards.
- Pack orders for shipping and process over-the-counter orders in the adjacent warehouse.
- Verify and update inventory levels within the pharmacy and inventory management systems.
- Routinely inspect and quarantine outdated medications to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in continuing education required for pharmacy technician certification renewal (as mandated by Pennsylvania statutes).
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries, moving merchandise, and putting away inventory.
- Process orders accurately, reading and understanding work orders, picking items, and labeling products.
- Pack and ship orders efficiently, inspecting items for damage before loading onto trucks.
- Evaluate shipments for accuracy and ensure that products meet quality requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counting and update tracking systems accordingly.
- May be trained to operate a forklift for efficient task completion.
- Prepare inventory needs for the pharmacy and Amazon as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by a manager or pharmacist as needed.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to perform basic math calculations and count accurately.
- Demonstrated dedication to punctuality and low absenteeism.
- The capability to study and pass the pharmacy technician certification examination (PTCB or NHA) when required by Pennsylvania statutes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a mail-order pharmacy setting.
- Ability to learn and utilize pharmacy management software systems.
- Fast learning skills with attention to detail.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
