Theatrical Services Specialist

As a key member of our team at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. If you're dedicated, dependable, and driven to deliver outstanding results, this is an opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of park sound, games, gift shop, and special events and ride-related A/V systems.
  • Assist department managers with installations and set-ups of new work and projects.
  • Train new technicians and returning technicians as needed.
  • Operate and troubleshoot ride and attraction A/V systems, camera systems, games, park background sound, and all other A/V systems across the park.
  • Set up and inspect Audio Visual Systems for presentations and special functions, events, and meetings.
  • Assist with wiring and cabling pulls, ordering of supplies, and work orders as needed.
  • Install and remove park start-up/shutdown, fireworks systems, Water Country systems, Special Holiday Event Systems as needed.
  • Perform minor microphone/cabling repairs and soldering.
  • Program QSYS, Brightsign, Camera, and various A/V systems.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Audio/video trade school or certification preferred.
  • Programming and coding experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Video editing experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment (min. 50 lbs).
  • Must be able to work on genie lifts (20-40 foot heights) and ladders, work from extreme heights (roller coaster heights as high as 200 feet).
  • Must be able to work varied schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions (outside in cold/heat).
  • Prefer 2 years of related work experience with video projectors systems, audio systems, and related install and maintenance of these systems in a theatre, festival, or event setting.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
