Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in managing intricate accounting responsibilities and special projects within the organization, while also aiding in the rollout of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Key Responsibilities:
This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting account reconciliations
  • Preparing audit workpapers
  • Generating financial statements
  • Drafting budgets
  • Performing financial analyses

The Senior Accountant will also prepare diverse financial assessments for the Controller and Assistant Controller, which may involve evaluations related to vendor contracts, capital initiatives, or other projects as required. Additionally, this position will assist with various other assignments as directed.

Work Environment:
This role may offer the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement, subject to managerial approval.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Capability to effectively oversee assigned support personnel, if applicable
  • Robust financial acumen with meticulous attention to detail and proven analytical problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines independently
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • A Master's of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least four years of relevant experience in an educational or healthcare environment
