In this role, you will be responsible for participating in technical accounting matters and assisting with SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Qs. You will also collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting Department to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical accounting matters and assist with SEC filings
  • Collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting Department
  • Focus on SEC Financial Reporting, including drafting 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-Ks
  • Perform tie-out workbook, including MDA disclosures, and facilitate tie-out from the finance team to financial statements
  • Write technical memos and draft accounting policies
  • Research and answer financial and accounting questions
  • Facilitate and document new accounting pronouncements
  • Prepare Financial Reporting Controls documentation and document accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting Department
  • Help facilitate annual internal and external audits, including preparation of required schedules, providing requested backup, and walking auditors through processes
  • Other projects as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA or other relevant certification is preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience; experience within a publicly traded company or public accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically ASC 718 stock-based compensation and ASC 842 leases
  • SEC Financial reporting experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge to write technical memos
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel
  • An eye for process improvement, ability to challenge the status quo and identify improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think critically, take ownership, and see a process/project through to the end
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
