SALARY: $45 to $52 per hour (depending on experience)

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Point of Sale (POS) and Computer Technician to join our team at Colorado POS Pros. As a POS and Computer Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining POS hardware and software, troubleshooting POS system issues, and performing software updates and upgrades. You will also be responsible for building, repairing, and upgrading desktop and laptop computers, installing and configuring computer peripherals, and diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot POS system issues (both hardware and software)
  • Perform software updates and upgrades
  • Build, repair, and upgrade desktop and laptop computers
  • Install and configure computer peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues
  • Implement and maintain antivirus and security software
  • Set up and maintain local area networks (LANs)
  • Configure routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Understand TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
  • Configure and troubleshoot mobile POS systems
  • Support tablets and smartphones used in business operations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 (or latest OS), and vendor-specific POS certifications
  • Technical skills in POS systems, computer hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptability to new technologies and systems
  • Experience with various POS software platforms
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of payment card industry (PCI) compliance standards
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles related to POS systems
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
