This position plays a crucial role in facilitating health, nutrition, and child safety services for children and families in the Early Childhood and Health content areas of the Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards.
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in a health or nutrition field or a closely related field, with one year of experience working with young children and families. Registered dietician or nutritionist certification is preferred, as is supervisory experience and bilingual Spanish or Navajo proficiency.
The Health Services Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Coordinator when they are not a registered Dietician or Nutritionist, and must be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire. The position requires successful completion of an initial post-offer health exam, TB test, and criminal background checks.
