The Carol Milgard Breast Center is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing mammographic functions in accordance with ARRT/ACR standards and ethics.
You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis of breast disease. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of patient interaction, technical skills, and scientific knowledge.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for mammography exams, providing thorough explanations and clear instructions.
- Obtain patient histories and accurately implement orders from referring physicians.
- Produce high-quality mammograms with minimal patient exposure and repeatability.
- Present radiographs and patient information to radiologists for interpretation.
- Utilize accurate written and oral communications with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
- Perform computer functions associated with patient exams (RIS and PACS).
- Maintain a professional demeanor, confidentiality, and high standards of patient care.
- ARRT (R) Registry required.
- ARRT (M) Registered or (M) Registry eligible.
- Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least one year of experience as a Mammo tech.
- Fully trained and competent in mammography procedures within one year of becoming a Mammo tech II.
The work environment consists of normal office or administrative working conditions. There may be exposure to communicable diseases, and there will be limited exposure to ionizing radiation.
