Pediatric Anesthesiology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pediatric Anesthesiology Specialist to join our team at VCU Health CHOR. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring residents and medical students, and contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric anesthesia, excellent communication and clinical skills, and a passion for education and research. **Job Summary:**
- Provide expert anesthetic care to pediatric patients, including preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative care, and postoperative management
- Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and nurse anesthetists in pediatric anesthesia and critical care
- Contribute to departmental research and quality improvement initiatives, with opportunities for independent projects and collaborations
**Requirements:**
- MD or DO degree
- Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and/or Critical Care Certification
- Unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
- Good communication, clinical, and teaching skills
