Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to assigned patients, including administering IV therapy and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain current clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: IV therapy credentials.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Good interpersonal and delegation skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Physical and Environmental Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects, and occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.

This role requires exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, and may involve working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and handling specimens that could contain communicable diseases.
