Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, develop plans of care, and initiate interventions for patients in the Pre-Admissions Testing Clinic.
  • Lead and coordinate interprofessional activities, focusing on clinical practice, consultation, education, and research.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Provide education and training to professional students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor to new staff members.
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees to advance clinical practice and patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing and Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program.
  • Three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a multi-specialty practice.
  • Progressive management experience preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in a relevant specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Prescriptive Authority and DEA license within 6 months.
