Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Teacher - Special Education to join our team at the Childhood League Center. As a member of our inclusive education team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that align with Ohio Early Learning & Development Standards and meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a transdisciplinary approach to education, focusing on optimal growth for children, families, and staff.
  • Provide leadership in planning and implementation of activities, classroom management, and communication with families and administration.
  • Administer developmental screenings and assessments to identify strengths and needs, and develop interventions to support achievement of IEP goals.
  • Conduct regular teacher/family conferences and maintain open communication with families and school districts.
  • Maintain Ohio Professional Licensure and meet annual and biennial state requirements for training and professional development.
Requirements
  • Current license to teach preschool special education in Ohio.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and to quickly stoop, squat, run, kneel, crouch, bend, crawl, push, pull, or twist.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative spirit and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dual licensure in early childhood general and special education.
