Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant III to join our team at the Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies. As a key member of our corporate office, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and overseeing assigned accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and subsidiary accounts.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee assigned accounting functions, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with lower-level accountants and clerical staff to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Associate degree with at least four years of professional-level accounting experience may be acceptable in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of four years of directly related experience, with extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of Costpoint and Cognos, with government contracting experience and knowledge of FAR and JTR preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
