Warehouse Porter

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Porter is a vital member of the Restaurant Depot team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the warehouse. This includes ensuring all key areas are free from hazards and adhering to strict sanitation and cleaning protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Maintenance: Perform general sweeping and cleaning of interior and exterior building premises, including windows, doors, and coffee areas.
• Sanitation and Cleaning: Maintain all restrooms, trash containers, and ensure proper operation of trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machine.
• Spill Response: Respond promptly to spills and clean up as needed in the warehouse.
• Break Room Maintenance: Clean the employee break room as scheduled and assist with department managers in aisle cleaning as needed.
• HACCP Compliance: Verify adherence to HACCP guidelines and sanitation logs as outlined.

Requirements:

• Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
• Sanitation Knowledge: Understand basic sanitation guidelines and protocols.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate various cleaning equipment.
