Job Summary:
The Warehouse Porter is a vital member of the Restaurant Depot team, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the warehouse. This includes ensuring all key areas are clean and free from hazards, as well as maintaining Sanitation and Cleaning Logs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform general sweeping of interior and exterior building premises, and maintain all trash containers on site.
- Sanitation and Cleaning: Clean and maintain all restrooms, windows, doors, and coffee area as needed, and ensure all HACCP guidelines and Sanitation logs are verified.
- Equipment Operation: Operate trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machine as needed.
- Spill Response: Clean up spills as needed in the warehouse.
- Break Room Maintenance: Clean the employee break room as needed, and assist with department managers in aisle cleaning.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for this role.
- Sanitation Knowledge: Understand basic sanitation guidelines and be able to apply them in the workplace.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
