  • Drive Ambulance Safely
    • Operate ambulance safely and efficiently
    • Follow all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • State of Tennessee Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
    • Current CPR Certification
  • Skills and Experience
    • Skills and experience with a high proficiency at the BLS level of service
    • Interpersonal skills, including compassion, listening, and communicating
    • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • PHTLS Certificate
    • ITLS Certificate
    • National Registry Certifications
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises
  • Must be able to work in all environments
  • Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 150lbs
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 150 pounds multiple times throughout a shift
