Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time Lead Trash Collector to join our team at Valet Living. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the total service delivery for our apartment communities, providing direction and oversight to part-time associates, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to our residents, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Assist the Area Leader with training and development of part-time associates.
  • Conduct regular spot checks to ensure safety, quality control, and productivity standards are met.
  • Collect and process missed trash, identify problem properties, and communicate with the Area Leader to resolve issues.
  • Provide waste and recycling collection coverage for understaffed properties within an assigned district.
  • Document and report all property and resident non-compliance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to part-time associates, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assist with evening recruiting efforts, including referral generation and flyer distribution.
  • Provide candidates with a realistic job preview from the Service Valet perspective.
  • Assist with presentations during team meetings and contribute to the development of training programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance in your name (or listed as a driver on policy) for your vehicle.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive locally to other properties as needed.
  • Capable of adapting to work both indoors and outdoors, regardless of changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk the distance of property, and be exposed to disagreeable odors.
  • Capability to climb up and down staircases/steps multiple times throughout the evening.
  • Ownership of a smartphone with a data plan to utilize our mobile app.
  • Flexibility to work split schedule and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needs.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. AA degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in customer service and prior people management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
