As a Maintenance Technician, your primary duties will include:
  • Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning production and related equipment with minimal supervision, utilizing provided schematics, manuals, and diagrams.
  • Identifying defective components and submitting requisitions for spare parts to ensure timely replacements.
  • Installing new equipment and conducting test runs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and establishing procedures for withdrawal, return, and reordering.
  • Exhibiting a general understanding of machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and demonstrating leadership qualities when guiding co-workers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to established maintenance protocols.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Assisting with tooling setup and maintenance as required.
  • Performing additional specific duties as assigned by the Shift Team Leader.

Technical Competencies:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Proficiency in accurately inputting data into ERP or related software systems.
  • Strong communication skills, fostering a collaborative and productive team atmosphere.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and participation in company safety initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain ISO-compliant processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of production processes and equipment capabilities.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installation.
  • Skill in using electrical testing devices, including multimeters and amp meters.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in a similar field.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade school training in electro-mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read and utilize precision measuring instruments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to:
  • Work extended shifts, standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Climb and navigate various work environments.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 75 lbs, requiring assistance for heavier loads.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and establish cause-and-effect relationships in a manufacturing setting.
