Job Summary:

Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Maintenance Department at our manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo, MI. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, machines, etc.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully pass the Electrical skill assessment.
  • Use computer to check status of jobs/electrical repairs that need to be completed.
  • Inspect electrical malfunctions, using testing instrument, manuals, guides, & blueprints, etc.
  • Repair and/or perform preventative maintenance of equipment & electrical circuits.
  • Help with maintenance & mechanical repairs.
