Job Title: A&P Mechanic Lead

Are you a skilled aviation professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? ALOFT AeroArchitects is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic Lead to join our team of experts in aircraft maintenance, modification, and completion.

Job Summary

The A&P Mechanic Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating aircraft-related activities, including heavy repair, maintenance, servicing, and movement. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate aircraft-related activities, including heavy repair, maintenance, servicing, and movement.
  • Perform complex aircraft tasks, including troubleshooting, removal, installation, and testing of flight controls, landing gears, and other systems.
  • Train employees in work methods and procedures, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, manufacturer's specifications, and company standards.
  • Inspect subordinates' work to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Document all aircraft-related actions, including maintenance records and quality control reports.
  • Interface with program management and other departments to achieve production goals and meet customer requirements.
  • Plan and requisition parts and materials, including long-lead time items.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company safety standards.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of heavy check experience or a combination of training/education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with BBJ, 737-7/8/900 aircraft preferred.
  • Previous lead experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools and equipment.
  • Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office software and other company-specific software applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours, when needed.
Working Conditions

The A&P Mechanic Lead will work in a standard office environment with occasional exposure to noise, smells, dust, and fumes typically associated with an aviation environment. Close proximity to industrial hazards, including electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards, is also expected. Occasional work at heights up to 60 feet may be required.
