Logistics Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This role is tasked with delivering comprehensive operational and logistics support to the team in Mexico, collaborating closely with the designated Operations Team. Please note that this is a contract position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Overseeing the management of Logistics Service Providers (LSP) to ensure optimal value and performance in customer deliveries and collections from consignees.

· Managing third-party logistics for both Import and Export operations.

· Administering and overseeing Import and Export procedures.

· Understanding Trade Processes, Customer Service, and Transportation logistics.

· Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Trade and Service Level Agreements (SLA).

· Executing collections and deliveries promptly in accordance with operational needs and schedules (Local and Export/Import).

· Maintaining updated planning controls for deliveries and collections.

· Ensuring accurate SAP entries concerning customer and consignee operations and inventory management.

· Establishing LSP relationships aimed at continuous improvement and leading review processes to guarantee ongoing enhancements.

· Staying informed about economic and business conditions that impact procurement strategies and policies.

· Assisting with ad-hoc reporting tasks or any other assigned responsibilities.

· Collaborating closely with freight forwarders and shipping lines to ensure timely scheduling and pickup of container imports and exports.

· Preparing import/export documentation as required.

· Coordinating truckload and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments to support logistics operations in the US and Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Candidates should possess a degree and have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in Import & Export, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.

· Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

· Strong cultural sensitivity and business insight to effectively engage with individuals across various regions and countries.

· Familiarity with SAP is preferred.

· Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

· Experience in customer service, transportation activities, and Import/Export operations.

· Previous experience with freight forwarding or ocean shipping lines is advantageous.
