Overview:
The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches serves as the Spring Training venue for two major league teams. This modern facility is designed for diverse uses, including Spring Training games, community events, and private functions.
As a vital member of our team, you will engage with guests, providing assistance and information to enhance their experience. Your role is crucial in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, contributing to memorable moments during events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill assigned duties to maintain readiness for game days, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
- Welcome fans with a positive demeanor and readiness to assist.
- Communicate any noteworthy activities or concerns to management regarding the venue.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly, escalating serious issues as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of team details, venue layout, and emergency procedures.
- Enforce rules and regulations of the venue and teams.
- Provide immediate assistance and notify appropriate personnel in case of emergencies.
- Support guests requiring wheelchair assistance to their seating areas.
- Distribute daily assignments to gameday staff and manage communication devices.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Remain vigilant to potential hazards and report incidents accordingly.
- Stay informed about safety protocols for all attendees.
- Exhibit initiative and teamwork.
- Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or entertainment is preferred.
- A genuine passion for assisting others.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Dependability and commitment to fulfilling work obligations.
Work Environment:
This role requires functioning in a dynamic and crowded outdoor sports venue, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be capable of performing essential functions, including standing for extended periods, walking long distances, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Position Type: Part-time/Seasonal, with a flexible schedule required.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
