Position Overview

KSL is excited to offer an internship opportunity within our Sports division, focusing on television, radio, and digital platforms. This paid internship is tailored for students eager to enhance their communications education through practical experience in a dynamic environment.

Internship Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of an internship coordinator, this role is designed for students with a keen interest in broadcast communications. Interns will engage in the daily production and promotion of sports coverage, with tasks that may include:

  • Assisting in video production
  • Videography and video/audio editing
  • Operating audio boards
  • Conducting interviews with coaches and athletes
  • Supporting production for web, digital, and app content

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree at a university, college, community college, or vocational-technical institute.
  • Preference for candidates focusing on digital media or broadcast communications, with a solid understanding of current events.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and self-motivation.
  • Effective writing, production, and communication skills.
  • Experience with videography, broadcast writing, and familiarity with tools such as ENPS, Wordpress, Adobe Premiere/Audition is preferred.
  • Internship duration will cover a quarter/semester period, with a commitment of approximately twenty (20) hours per week.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a positive rapport with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stress and maintain professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform substantial physical movements, including wrist and hand motions.
  • Effective communication skills for processing and maintaining information.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Compensation: $15 per hour.
