We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast News Host to join our team at KSL Broadcast Group. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality news content to our audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host and co-host scripted news shows as scheduled
  • Demonstrate professional and energetic hosting skills in studio or by remote access
  • Debrief live details of breaking news with confidence and energy
  • Write, interview, and pull audio as needed
  • Anchor and provide general newsroom support
  • Include live commercial mentions and short copy as needed
  • Update social media and digital platforms with breaking news and station promotions
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of KSL policy and FCC rules and regulations
  • Attend staff meetings and meet regularly with the Program Director for airchecks
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • College degree in Journalism or relevant field
  • Prefer experience as a host with other professionals in creating a unique broadcast
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage stress effectively
