POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this role involves coordinating information, effectively communicating essential details, preparing precast drawings, and executing related tasks as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and verify construction drawings for accuracy.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among relevant stakeholders.
  • Document critical project information comprehensively.
  • Maintain project files in compliance with Coreslab Structures' policies.
  • Enhance drafting and verification skills continuously.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of drafting equipment, software, and supplies.
  • Promote the values of Coreslab Structures and the precast concrete sector.
  • Safeguard confidential and proprietary information.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and hazard procedures in conjunction with job duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

  • Fundamental principles and methodologies of structural drafting.
  • Basic construction techniques related to precast concrete structures.
  • Operation of computers and related equipment.
  • Occupational safety hazards and appropriate precautions.

Skills in:

  • Utilizing drafting software applications (AutoCAD/Revit).
  • Mathematical concepts including algebra and geometry.
  • Interpreting contract documents and technical drawings.

Ability to:

  • Complete assignments within established deadlines.
  • Adapt drafting techniques to meet diverse project requirements.
  • Anticipate challenges that may impact timelines, costs, and production methods.
  • Communicate information clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Adjust communication style as needed based on the situation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee may encounter:

  • Moving mechanical and electrical components.
  • Fumes or airborne particles.
  • Vibrations.
  • Metal preservatives.
  • Oils, chemicals, and greases.
  • High noise levels.
  • Extreme temperatures and wet conditions.
  • Work at elevated heights.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with arms, and perform various physical activities. The employee must regularly lift and/or move heavy items, potentially exceeding 25 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Completion of all required training and certification is mandatory before operating any machinery or tools. Flexibility to work overtime on short notice may be required.
