As an Assistant Engineer on our Railroad Bridge (Structural) team, you will provide basic project design through design calculations, CAD drafting, instruct drafters on how to create drawings of designs, and prepare project schedules for projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures.

The ideal candidate will have interest in working on Class I Railroad structures projects and the ability to work closely with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic project design through design calculations and CAD drafting
  • Instruct drafters on how to create drawings of designs
  • Prepare project schedules for projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures
  • Perform research and quality control of plan sets
  • Travel to job sites for observation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Must obtain Engineer Intern (EI) certificate
  • Prior experience working with Railroad Structures is preferred
  • Ability to leverage software for modeling, calculation, automation, and rapid drafting
  • Applicable experience coordinating with other railroad engineering disciplines
