Distribution Center Manager

Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for leading the cross-dock distribution center operation and team results to meet customer service and financial goals. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of 20-40 associates, optimize transportation resources, and create a positive associate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow for the MDO operation and related transportation or warehouse related systems.
- Monitor the MDO building level scorecard, financials, and safety metrics and identify recommendations for improvement or address any potential issues.
- Oversee exception handling for deliveries, which may include interfacing with customers or Home Depot department to resolve any identified issues.
- Manage all inbound and outbound loads to ensure performance meets expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or Supply Chain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications.
- Previous change management experience.
- Experience providing direct customer service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at various times.
