Housekeeping Manager Job Description

At Spire Hospitality, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and service are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all rooms and public areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure that all guest requests are met and that any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet our cleaning needs.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for housekeeping staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional cleanliness and service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
