Position Summary
The Tasting Room Manager plays a crucial role in the operation of our Tasting Room, overseeing the front-of-house team and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This position involves managing daily activities, planning events throughout the year, and maintaining the high standards of our food and beverage offerings.
- Employment Type: Part-Time
- Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to enhance the Tasting Room and its offerings.
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the reservation system and manage incoming requests.
- Handle inventory management and ordering for all Tasting Room supplies.
- Assist in menu updates and execution in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Plan and execute private events and pop-up experiences in the Tasting Room.
- Maintain budgetary oversight for Tasting Room supplies.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure menu and POS system accuracy.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room and storage areas.
- Address guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of fermented beverages and a passion for customer service.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Availability to work during operational hours.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Interest in breweries and fermentation is advantageous.
- Food Safety, TIPS, and/or ServeSafe Certification preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
