Job Overview

The Sample Room is seeking a skilled Handbag Sample Maker to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality handbag prototypes and samples that meet our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop handbag and small leather good prototypes and samples
  • Ensure all products adhere to company quality standards and methods
  • Communicate any quality issues or delays to the Project Manager or Floor Supervisor
  • Work closely with Pattern/Sample makers and Floor Manager to align with company standards
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
Requirements
  • 2+ years of work experience in sewing handbags, small leather goods or related
  • Ability to read and understand a design card/technical drawing
  • High attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and professionalism
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of handbag construction
  • Ability to read and interpret design cards and specifications
  • Bilingual: English, Spanish
Work Environment

Monday to Friday, with occasional evening/weekend hours based on business needs

Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work
