Position Overview: The Vice President of Production is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of product operations and manufacturing at Good American. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in the apparel manufacturing sector and a comprehensive understanding of the fashion landscape. This position demands a forward-thinking leader capable of managing operational workflows, guiding a team of production experts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of premium products to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the complete production process from sourcing raw materials to delivering the final product.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to achieve optimal business results through effective partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and merchandising, to ensure cohesive product strategies and production timelines.
- Monitor production schedules and capacities to enhance efficiency and meet seasonal deadlines.
- Lead and mentor a team of production professionals, providing support and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and elevate product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior production management capacity within the fashion or apparel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, including patternmaking, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
- Proven ability to manage production budgets, negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain operations.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the capability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and their implications for apparel production is preferred.
Compensation: $200,000 - $220,000 annually
Please note that this role requires on-site presence four days a week.
