Job Title: Registered Nurse

Proactive MD is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our mission to deliver measurably better outcomes.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide medical care at the direction of the provider, working to meet the individual needs of each patient. This role requires excellent communication skills, mobility, and the ability to operate office equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures.
  • Document data and assessments in the patient record, utilizing a computer system and information technology to ensure standard documentation.
  • Assist providers in all aspects of consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Execute medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and competency.
  • Provide patient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers.
  • Manage medication reconciliation, patient compliance, inventory, education, and operating medical equipment.
  • Maintain medical supplies, inventory, and disposal, ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • May use general office skills, including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, and copying.
Requirements
  • RN with a current nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 90 days after start date.
  • Confident in venipuncture skills.
  • Certified or willing to get certified in CAOHC and NIOSH PFT (Spirometry) prior to first day.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state and federal requirements.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • This role primarily operates in a medical office environment, requiring interaction with patients for the majority of the workday.
  • The physical demands of this job include effective communication, mobility, and the ability to operate office equipment and travel intermittently throughout the day.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time.
  • Employee will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This role is considered non-exempt, with evening and weekend work possible depending on the schedule of the individual health and wellness center.
