Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Proactive MD. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our mission to deliver measurably better outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide medical care to patients at the direction of our healthcare providers, working to meet the individual needs of each person who walks through our doors. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures.
  • Document patient data and assessments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist healthcare providers in consultations, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Execute medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and competency.
  • Provide patient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregivers.
  • Manage medication reconciliation, patient compliance, inventory, education, and operating medical equipment.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • May include triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentation.
Requirements:
  • RN with a current nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date.
  • Confident in venipuncture skills.
  • Certified or willing to get certified in CAOHC and NIOSH PFT (Spirometry) prior to first day.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state and federal requirements.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • This role primarily operates in a medical office environment and requires interaction with patients for the majority of the workday.
  • The physical demands of this job include effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment, and travel intermittently throughout the day.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time.
  • Employee will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
