Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Property Acquisitions will lead our efforts in securing land and real estate assets, emphasizing strategic expansion and maximizing investment returns. This pivotal role will influence the future of our portfolio through visionary leadership, innovative deal sourcing, and thorough due diligence.

Objectives:

  • To lead and enhance the capabilities of the acquisitions and development team.
  • To improve our deal sourcing strategies and expand our acquisitions pipeline.
  • To manage and refine the entire acquisition process, ensuring optimal ROI and IRR.
  • To cultivate and strengthen relationships with brokers and enhance market presence.
  • To boost our capacity to identify off-market opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the acquisitions and development teams, directing both strategic initiatives and operational activities.
  • Identify and assess new acquisition prospects in the self-storage and broader commercial real estate markets.
  • Lead negotiations and oversee the closing of transactions to secure advantageous terms.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, investors, and industry professionals.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and evaluate financial analyses and underwriting for prospective deals.
  • Report on acquisition progress and metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in real estate acquisitions, deal sourcing, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of market analysis, due diligence, and property valuation.
  • 10-15 years of experience in real estate acquisitions with a proven history of leading acquisition teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in deal sourcing, negotiations, and portfolio management.

Compensation:

This is a salaried position with a compensation range of $150,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience.
