Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement personalized recreational therapy interventions for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Work in a supportive environment that values inclusivity and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team to deliver effective programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement interventions based on individual interests in various settings.
  • Evaluate individual's advancements toward their recreational therapy goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to person-centered planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation.
  • National Certification (CTRS) or ability to test within 6 months.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Schedule and Compensation:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $21.52 per hour. The schedule varies, with some weekend hours as needed with flex day options.
