Social Worker II

Children's National Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker II to join our team. As a key member of our social work staff, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychosocial assessments and interventions to patients and families.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patients' and families' needs and develop effective intervention plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a range of issues, including mental health concerns, relationship dynamics, and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and resources to provide patients and families with access to necessary support services.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and stay up-to-date on best practices in social work.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Minimum 3 years of post-MSW experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia, with the ability to obtain licensure in Maryland and Virginia as required.
