Position Overview

The Echocardiography Technologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic imaging department, specializing in cardiac assessments. This position requires a high level of expertise in performing echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS: Basic Life Support
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • CHEMO: Chemotherapy
  • TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Tech Cert Verification: National
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • STABLE
  • CEUs: Continuing Education Units
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing
  • State License Verification
  • NURSYS Verification: RN, LPN/LVN, AP
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Pass/Fail Testing: EKG/Medication
  • CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute
  • Medication Test: Pharmacology Competency Exam

Job Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography is required.
  • Must possess BLS and RDCS certifications.
  • Work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, including at least one weekend day.
  • Perform adult echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms, utilizing Definity Contrast as needed.
  • Experience with 3D Echo, Bubble Study, and Contrast Agents is essential.
  • Proficiency in Phillips and Cerner systems is required.
Additional Information
  • I9 and Lotus I9 Attestation are mandatory.
  • Government-issued photo ID is required.
  • AHA Provider Certification (Instructor card included) is acceptable; RQI is also valid.
  • Stroke and Trauma CEUs are necessary.
  • Specific documentation requirements apply for LBH-Northwest Hospital.
