Job Summary

UniFirst is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team. As a Millwright Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial equipment, systems, and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain industrial equipment, including large capacity washers and dryers, pneumatic and steam systems, conveyor systems, and boilers.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
    • Use common tools, including hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
    • Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures and Confined Space procedures as required.
  • Travel and Communication
    • Travel to multiple UniFirst locations to perform job duties.
    • Communicate with team members and management to ensure effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Welding and Fabrication
    • Perform various welding activities, including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.
    • Install machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems equipment and components.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum of 6 months' work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
    • Applicable technical training and/or military experience will be considered.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Skills
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
    • Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
    • Experience using Hand & Power tools required.
    • Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
    • Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.
