We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will assist pharmacists and administrative staff in providing pharmaceutical care services, participate in pharmacy operations, and maintain personal technical competency.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing pharmaceutical preparations, utilizing pharmacy software and hardware systems.
- Perform Omnicell pharmacy functions, ensuring functionality of barcode scanning.
- Maintain inventory levels, ensuring drugs and supplies are available in the department and designated hospital care areas.
- Provide positive, supportive, and courteous communications to patients, families, visitors, and hospital personnel.
- Assist in clinical programs under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- High school graduate, enrolled in an approved School/College of Pharmacy, or an unlicensed graduate of a school of pharmacy.
- MA Pharmacy Intern license required.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy intern in a hospital setting preferred.
Rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, at McLean Hospital Main Campus.
