Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will assist pharmacists and administrative staff in providing pharmaceutical care services, participate in pharmacy operations, and maintain personal technical competency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing pharmaceutical preparations, utilizing pharmacy software and hardware systems.
  • Perform Omnicell pharmacy functions, ensuring functionality of barcode scanning.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ensuring drugs and supplies are available in the department and designated hospital care areas.
  • Provide positive, supportive, and courteous communications to patients, families, visitors, and hospital personnel.
  • Assist in clinical programs under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Requirements
  • High school graduate, enrolled in an approved School/College of Pharmacy, or an unlicensed graduate of a school of pharmacy.
  • MA Pharmacy Intern license required.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy intern in a hospital setting preferred.
Work Environment

Rotating shift, including weekends and holidays, at McLean Hospital Main Campus.
