Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Geisinger Health System, you will play a vital role in providing primary clinical support to our providers, patients, and their families. Your expertise will be essential in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by providers, including assisting with minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete associated paperwork, and expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
- Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
- Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patients.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nursing, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
