Geisinger Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in our Convenient Care Clinics. As an LPN, you will provide primary clinical support to our providers and patients, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions.
About Convenient CareOur Convenient Care Clinics offer quick and convenient healthcare services for family health care needs, including physicals, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses. Our clinics are open 7 days a week and provide care to patients of all ages.
Job Duties- Provide primary clinical support to providers and patients, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of results in the medical record.
- Promote a clean environment and meet the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by providers, including administering medications and vaccines.
- Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse and be certified in Basic Life Support. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent patient care.
