Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Convenient Care team. As an LPN, you will provide primary clinical support to our providers, patients, and their families, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions. You will also be responsible for obtaining and documenting patient medical history, vital signs, and providing basic medical data for our providers.

Job Duties
  • Provide primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families
  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for providers
  • Prepare patients for examinations and provide direct clinical care as directed by providers
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice
  • Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis and availability of appropriate instruments and equipment
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body
  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
