A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
Additional requirement:
- Documented experience in Information Technology Help Desk assistance, assessing computer hardware issues, and software user acceptance testing.
- Documented experience with Adobe products (Adobe Pro), MS Suite (specifically Planner, OneNote, SharePoint, Excel, Access), and other products, i.e., (Smartsheet and Sitefinity).
- Fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is preferred.
This position starts at a non-negotiable salary of $21.63 per hour / $45,000.00 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are compensated on a monthly pay cycle.
This role necessitates a security background check, including fingerprinting as a condition of employment.
In the event of a natural disaster, the incumbent may serve as a First Responder for the Department to fulfill DFS responsibilities, which may involve travel and extended hours.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to assist with a Helpdesk ticket-tracking program and utilize it to track and document all tickets and solutions, sometimes addressing issues from multiple organizations.
- Capability to troubleshoot and configure hardware, including desktops, monitors, phones, and printers.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with others.
- Strong organizational skills to plan, coordinate, and manage work assignments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, as well as Microsoft products such as Teams and the Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint).
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- This position entails advanced level, complex work requiring a logical understanding of business practices and extensive IT expertise in database management and the development and testing of mission-critical systems for the Division of Consumer Services.
- Acts as a technology liaison backup with the Office of Information Technology, assisting with property coordination, tracking, analyzing, and responding to IT issues reported by staff, and prioritizing IT concerns.
- Conducts complex trend analysis of the Division's workload and data to identify specific issues warranting investigation and develops reports to monitor these issues.
- Assists in analyzing, researching, monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the Division of Consumer Services processes, workflows, data reports, and personnel performance to identify areas needing improvement.
- Serves as a backup to technical staff in maintaining the Consumer Services University (CSU)/Talent LMS website, including user enrollment and monitoring site activities.
- Maintains the intranet sites for the Division of Consumer Services, including document management and site layout changes.
- Performs special projects as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director, focusing on research that enhances the design of surveys, reports, and graphical representations of Division activity.
- The incumbent may be required to perform duties in support of disaster relief efforts and be on-call for major digital infrastructure outages.
