Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Contribute to the education and advancement of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Possess experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics, particularly in treatments for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer.
  • Oversee the performance of technical staff.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule.
  • Implement quality assurance measures related to Nuclear Medicine practices.
  • Provide Nuclear Medicine consultations as required.
  • Support off-site outpatient imaging operations as directed.
  • Assume administrative duties pertinent to Nuclear Medicine.
  • Engage in educational activities related to Nuclear Medicine across various programs.
  • Participate in the development and management of clinical research initiatives.
  • Serve on departmental and university committees as requested.

Teaching Commitment:

UHealth values high-quality education, and the incumbent is expected to engage in didactic teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as participate in seminars and educational lectures. Teaching responsibilities also include supervising students and residents involved in patient care.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Medical Degree
  • Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Nuclear Medicine Fellowship

Certification and Licensing:

  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification or Eligibility
  • Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certification or Eligibility
  • Eligibility for Florida Medical License

Experience:

  • Ideal candidates will have completed at least one year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine and must be dual board certified (ABR and ABNM). Previous experience in a university faculty setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly valued.
  • Faculty will engage in teaching, clinical research, and collaborative educational activities.
