Job Overview

This role is integral to the financial operations under the Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to the Controller. The Revenue Cycle Accountant is essential for the organization’s growth, overseeing the accounting aspects of the revenue cycle. This position plays a critical role in assisting management and senior leadership with financial decision-making and negotiations with payors.

Key Responsibilities

The Revenue Cycle Accountant will collaborate closely with the billing team, Controller, CFO, and third-party payors. The ideal candidate will balance profit opportunities while ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the complete revenue cycle from billing through to payment and reconciliation.
  • Executing general ledger entries and crafting internal communications related to the revenue cycle and denial management.
  • Meeting daily productivity targets, which encompass:
    • Ensuring accurate billing processes.
    • Managing rejections effectively.
    • Tracking and resolving denials.
    • Overseeing collection activities.
    • Preparing Accounts Receivable Aging reports.
    • Establishing and reporting on key performance indicators for billing.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
