About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at American Veterinary Group. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians in the care of animals, including restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, and sterilizing tools.
  • Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
  • Provide outstanding patient care and client service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Professionalism, dependability, and healthy communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and some weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
