Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Radiologic Technologist I to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Radiologic Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures that assist healthcare professionals in identifying and treating various medical conditions. This role involves operating imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' bodies while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specialized and routine radiology procedures with precision.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation during imaging processes.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging examinations.
  • Utilize immobilization devices to achieve optimal imaging results as directed by the physician.
  • Determine appropriate exposure settings based on patient characteristics and imaging requirements.
  • Adjust imaging equipment to capture detailed and accurate images.
  • Operate mobile imaging equipment in various clinical settings as needed.
  • Prepare images for evaluation by radiologists or referring physicians.
  • Process and verify images for quality and proper identification.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on imaging equipment, coordinating major repairs as necessary.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
  • Assist in training new staff and students in imaging techniques.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.
Qualifications:Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist with necessary certifications as per state regulations.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to perform all standard diagnostic tasks as required by the employer.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse healthcare environment.
